The Chief End of Divinity

I am praying that God will enable me to uphold this motto as I continue in my Ph. D. studies and as a Greek professor this spring semester and beyond. I also pray that the Lord will direct me to a dissertation thesis that will end in such a result. Will you join me?:

The chief lesson and study in divinity is, that we learn well and rightly to know Christ, who is therein very graciously pictured forth unto us (163). ~ Martin Luther, “Of Jesus Christ,” TableTalk, #182.
